The Pavilion of Queen Anna was erected in the newly established royal garden. It’s function was primarily representative and it was used for different court festivities. But members of the royal family also came here regularly for entertainment and relaxation. Both the architecture of this two-story building (its garden facade has only one story),and the gallery are influenced by Florentine and Hungarian Renaissance examples. The architecture is decorated with unique reliefs, most of which feature motifs from classical mythology and history. 1556-63 Boniface Wohlmut altered the shape of the roof by creating this characteristic ship-like form.
